Fitness walking is an excellent activity-The Fact
" it is worth spending.If you think you can't afford a gym membership might as well you get a pair of shoes and start walking.
To enhance the above phrase i would suggest everyone to start with fitness walking.In fact there are a few factor why walking still being choose in starting easy and very convenient fitness.
Until recently many people felt that walking was not a legitimate activity.However there are studies confirmed that fitness walking improves aeerobic fitness,reduces the risk for cardiovascular disease,reduces body fat,increases the strength of bones and improves psychological well being.
The studies from scientist confirm that walking at a moderate to brisk pace can enhance aerobic fitness.Scientist also found that middle aged men who walked at a pace of 3.5 miles per hour(17 minutes mile pace)to 4.5 miles per hour for 40 minutes four times per week had the same cardovascular improvements as men the same age who jogged for 30 minutes three times per week.
Several studies also found that regular walking at any speed can increase HDL-C cholesterol (a high density lipoprotein which removes excess cholesterol from the body) and can lower concentrations of blood triglycerides(a storage form of fat),thus reducing risk for cardivascular disease.
Weight are easily reduce by walking,the steeper the incline and/or the faster pace the more calories burned.The fact is a 150 pound person walking at 3.5 miles per hour on flat ground will burn about 300 calories per hour.The same person will burn 400 calories per hour on a gentle 4 percent incline and 500 calories per hour on a steeper 10 percent incline.If this person speeds the pace up to 4 miles per hour on level ground,350 calories will be burned in one hour.
Osteoporosis is a major health problem to most people all over the world.Many older people die as a result of complications suffered from broken bones.There are report shown that regular waliking at moderate to brisk speeds appears to increase bone density.
Researchers also found that walking can reduce stress.People who are unable to cope with tense and anxiety may become physically or psychologically ill.That is why walking is one way to help people reduce stress.A research was done to examined the effect of brisk walking on mildly obese sedentary women and found that walking improved general psychological well being .
Fitness walking is often associated with a low injury rate.Walking is considered to be a low impact activity because one foot remains contact with the ground at all times.Walking at speeds of 3 miles per hour produces vertical impact forces that are around 1.25 times body weight whereas running at 7 miles per hour increases vertical impact forces to more than 2.5 times body weight.
It is important to know that all forms of exercise have some degree of risk associated with the activity.The lower the degree percentage is the better achievements. So the next time you think of using a lift to your office might as well you take a simple exercise by walking a few stairs to your office.It is healthy,fun and relaxing for both young and old.
Start exercising as early as possible
It is never never too late to get fit. Inactive people are 40 percent more likely to die younger.Those who do exercise lower their risk of heart disease,arthritis,diabetes,high blood pressure,colon cancer,osteoporosis and stroke.Those are the fact that we cannot deny in our life.Regular exercise can protect our body and give us a healthy mind as well.It is best to start early as possible because the older you get,the harder it is to establish good exercise habits.There are simply 5 excuses probably too many of us are not getting enough exercise.
1.I Do not have time
This is the most frequently barrier to skip from exercise.Mostly people who are active have just as much or as little time as anyone else.Managing most of our free time instead of watching television you can spend that time exercising.The time to exercise is around 35-40 minutes of exercise a day.In fact it won't take a day to keep fit and healthy.we can spend as little as 10 minutes per exercise.
We are often overwhelmed by the demands of work,school and family.The number of people who are not exercise on this reason keep risen up.Many people are so unfit that they can't climb a few office stairs.There are more cases people who neglecting exercise, and at the end they suffer a stroke and paralyzed. Stroke is the most common attack to nowadays people and the best solution is to keep fit all the time from young age until we get old.
2.I am Not overweight
Think you're healthy just because you're within your ideal weight and height? In fact there are certain calculation to confirm you''re healthy.Count your pulse beats for 10seconds after 20 minutes of exercise and multiply by six.If your heart is healthy,the number you get should be between 50 and 75 percent of your maximum heart rate it means generally calculated as 220 minus your age.
People who seldom exercise playing tennis,squash once a week,not overweight ,didn't smoke or drink tend to have chest pain and led to heart arteries blockage.It means even though you think you have enough exercise by regularly involve in sports ,you are fit.To keep fit is to do the basic exercise what people called as warm up exercise before any serious sports activity.That is the right way of health exercise for our body and most important our heart.
3.I have tried exercising and never lost weight.
Many people start exercising because they want to lose weight,and when that does not happen immediately,they may give up.However the same volume of muscle weighs more than fat,so a large person who is fit could be healthier than a slim person who is not.fat can be eliminated during muscle exercise.It has proven in research that most people with weak stomach muscle,with low levels of abdominal strength were significantly more likely to die earlier than others.Without regular physical activity,including weight bearing exercise a person muscle mass can decrease by 50 percent at the age of 20 and 90.Weight bearing exercise makes bones stronger and prevent osteoporosis.
Regular exercise without giving up is to keep your mind an body healthy as well as reducing cholesterol for a long run of lifetime.
4.I can't afford a gym membership.
Whether you hire a personal trainer or go to sports centre,buy treadmill or rent exercise videos ,it is worth spending.If you think you can't afford a gym membership might as well you get a pair of shoes and start walking,jogging with groups of friends or family members.It is really free of charge but the main point is to exercise.
5.I am too far gone
People actually never too old to start exercising,but to take exercise for the first time will need a doctor's assessment,particularly anyone over age of 45.Start exercise slowly and built up to higher level as recommended.Swimming is a good non impact exercise for everyone.With involving in some sports activities and light exercise activities also can prevent our heart from any inevitable disease to keep longer age in life.But the achievements is still to start exercising as early as possible.

Very useful tips. I've been inactive all winter and just now started doing a little daily walking around town. I can really walk for hours and it never feels like real excercise. I really need to tone my arms though, it's always been my chubby spot lol. And of course voted up :)
