Historical Colonial Attractions in Malaca Hotels
71Melaka Malacca
Melaka hotels is my second topics about hotels in Malaysia which is actually worth to stay and start your vacation. My first topic is Genting hotel which also in Malaysia but very popular among foreigners for their casinos.Foreign visitors who had visited Malaysia earlier they may realise that the word Melaka is similar to Malacca whereby Malaysian people often write and pronounce it as Me-la-ka.
Melaka is one of fourteen states in Malaysia where all Malaysian cultures starts adapting to changes since Portugese invasion in 1511.The invasion of Melaka was started by Portuguese and followed by British colonial which governed by British East India Company and then as a crown colony.Singapore and Penang were included as part of the straits settlement and after the dissolution of crown colony Malaysia was formed including Melaka and Penang as part of Malaysia states.British ended their colonization after Malaysia managed to get the full independence at 1957 through several discussion and papers signing and it ends all the invasion story of British in Melaka as well.As everyone knows Melaka also had been inscribed in World heritage list in 2008 together with Penang which is also one of Malaysia state.Since Malaysia colonization Penang also known now as Pulau Pinang.

very nice info , loved it
Very interesting. Nice pictures, too. Thank you. I enjoyed the journey.
I like the picture of the Jonker Street in your hub here. Makes feel like strolling along these streets for hours.
Sord BrotherMan! This is another well informing hub. Hows the bike riding there? I guess paved roads are busy and few? Just curious! I had to jump on your buttons here as usual! Thank you Sir!
I love Malacca. I think it's the people and the food. And I like to just chill out in Jonker street during the nights. I am fortunate to have relatives in Malacca so I don't pay much attention to hotels there. Thanks for sharing about Hotel Puri with us.
Nice information on Melaka hotels. Good hub. Voted up!
Good information, hopefully they will keep the eye of Melaka there. Additional tourist attraction for Malacca.
Great posting, Sord87, and love the photos. But as a Malaccan, the summary seems very short and more to promote Hotel Puri, which is at the very center of Jonker Street and on the other hand, it's not that near to the historical sites. What about the other hotels, Mr Sord87? :) Do come to Melaka, and I'll show you what Melaka is all about ok :). Love your hub pages :)
Thanks for the great review of Melaka Hotels. I hope to travel there one day as I have had the pleasure of visiting Penang in the 80s and it was exactly like being transported back to what Miami Beach, Florida must have been like in the 50s. Beautiful, unspoiled and not overcrowded - yet!
